It was over ten years ago that I read Mitchell and Black's "Freud and Beyond" which was a great book and an intelligent summary of history of psychoanalytical thought. A question for those of who who are currently training in psychodynamic psychotherapy or psychoanalysis: Do you still use this book? Is there a more recent book that is as comprehensive, but more up to date as to the recent developments in the field? I appreciate any recommendations.

My institute used it for an early overview, but primarily uses individual publications/papers for the majority of the readings.
