Hey guys. This is my first thread here but I have been reading posts for a while. I have some questions that I can't seem to find the answers to.
I am graduating as a Graphics Design Major in May 2011. Naturally I didn't take any science courses and they were not even offered at my school.
So I decided to apply to Pre-Med Post Bacc programs. Now my problem is the following.
My cumulative undergrad GPA will probably be around 2.8-2.85 (I have 3 D's in total).
Let's just assume for a minute that I get accepted to a pre-med program. If I ace all the classes and the MCAT followed by doctor-shadowing, volunteer work, community based activities etc.etc.
Will I have the slightest chance of getting accepted to Med-school? Will I have a chance at say, Harvard Medical School? Or will they take one look at my crappy undergrad record and throw me to the lions?
In other words: If everything I do after my undergrad is top-notch, can I get into a school like Harvard? How can I prove myself?
And please be honest but not mean. I've seen some pretty nasty responses to questions similar to mine.
