Hey all,
Second year at Michigan State here who has become VERY interested in PMR. Been spending way too much time reading this forum instead of studying my Robbins, but I'm very happy to have discovered physiatry.
Everyone talks about trying to get more recognition for PMR and dealing with the turf issues.
My question is what does the future of technology and science hold for PMR? Are there any big advancements that you see coming? How will information technology change the field? Are there any big drugs or treatments coming down the pipeline? Has any progress been made in spinal regeneration with stem cell therapy?
I know over time all field of medicine change drastically. Years ago cardiologists had almost no drugs to work with and now look at the field and everything they do.
What do you think the future holds for PMR?
Thanks!
