Is anyone else finding the QR and RC sections on bootcamp totally ridiculous? I literally solved 10 problems and guessed on 30 in math and that got me a 17. Kinda odd since I technically guessed on almost the whole test while someone else who actually did every single problem might have gotten the same/slightly higher score. Also on bootcamp RC, whats up with the greek mythology/religion article?!

Is bootcamp seriously representative of the real DAT or am I wasting time practicing these sections on bootcamp?

It depends on what exam you received. The scariest thing was when I saw the first statement is true, second statement is false. The type of questions that you will see on bootcamp.
I took my DAT, and noticed that there were 6 questions that were like that. If you read the whole entire passage, then those questions shouldn't be that bad.

I really think that Reading is luck of the draw. Definitely use Bootcamp to prepare you for some of the more challenging types of questions and for the lengths/difficulty of the passages. Personally, I didn't have any of those "first true, second false" statement questions as @RuffDay said, but I know many people who have and I think I was just lucky. Preparing for those and tone questions will definitely be to your benefit and make test day seem a bit easier than you're used to.

QR is tough, but definitely not as tough as Bootcamp. The scores are a bit scaled, so I found my Bootcamp scores to be about on par (scoring average of a 20 on the tests, got a 21 on the actual test), but I think you will be seeing much easier questions than what you've seen so far on Bootcamp. Look at the 2007 test online; it is a little more challenging than this, but notice the amount of simple, straight-forwrad calculation questions, and it will be encouraging to know that there are several like this on test day to gather easy points.

Hope this helps! Best of luck in your studies.

RC on bootcamp albeit harder is definitely worth getting timing down. I personally only did one QR test and skipped the rest, I thought those were pretty poor. (The first one on there is probably the only one worth looking at)

I think it will all come down to preference for your studying. For me I really liked the RC on DAT BC and didn't think it was too bad. But then on DAT Achiever, I didn't even bother because it was other-wordly and I felt was a waste of time. Follow your gut. If you really feel its useless, then don't do it. I personally think the BC RC was awesome but that's just me.
For QR, BC is definitely wicked hard, but they make it like that. It helped me a lot, I was able to pull off a 19 and that was mostly having skipped studying QR for the last two weeks or so because stuff came up. I never used Math Destroyer, but from what I have seen on here it should be money. Do what you feel is best, though, because your the one taking the test. Good Luck!
