Frustrated!!

So I still haven't heard from Columbia, which I think is odd. I called last Thursday only to find out that they only tell people their application status on Wednesdays from 9-4. I called this morning and they told me that the admissions person wasn't there and I would probably just have to leave a voicemail, but I probably shouldn't bother because any decision by them they can't tell me over the phone and I can only hear it in writing! How stupid is that?? I guess they don't care if things get lost in the mail or even bother to ask what my name is to see if they can pull something up. I guess I will just have to make my decision without them if they're not going to tell me anything......argh.

Yes, I like Harvard, but I would love to go home this winter break and discuss with my family the best option for me with a complete picture on the table. I'm somewhat trying to coordinate my decision with my boyfriend's plans for next year, so it would be nice to know what my options are.

I think UOP is a GREAT school. I was really impressed by it when I went there. The thing that struck me there was how HAPPY the students were there. You can really tell the difference between UOP students and dental students from other schools. They seem to be very concerned for their students and really try to get to know them and help them succeed. In addition, the facilities are amazing. Everything seems to be top of the line. Knowing a lot of dentists in California because my mother is one, I can vouch for you that UOP has an excellent reputation. In fact, all the dentists my mom has been talking to strongly recommend going to UOP over Harvard. Hope this helps!

A lot of schools won't give out info on the phone probably b/c they don't want to give out info to someone else (maybe claiming to be you)... don't worry, i am sure you'll hear soon... chances are your letters on the way.
