Dentalmom,

I;m sorry to tell you this, but if you attended FSU, you have no chance of getting into any dental school.

Alright, now that you're probably fuming with anger, realize I attend UF, and had to have fun with you. So naturally I'm JUST KIDDING.

I know a couple of people who have attended FSU and gone onto dental school. It doesn't matter where you go so long you do well, score well on the DAT and have a good essay (with all those extracurrics)

GO GATORS
😀

Hello, I just want to let u know that me and my roommate both graduated from FSU and are at Tufts Dental. I also know people from FSu who r in UNC, Columbia, UF and Nova Dental... So I think u shouldn't worry about the undergrad school that much..

FSU is a lot better than most...it is a major school with national reputation. Every adcom in America will know exactly where and what it is.

Consider that there are a vast number of tiny liberal arts colleges, minor state schools, and religiously affiliated colleges that have the same name in twenty different states. Your degree has far more name cachet than any of those places.

Major state schools are in the top 10-20% of all schools nationwide in academic reputation. FSU should be an asset.

thanks people. i've got myself worked up into a frenzy over this application/essay/residency business.

is there any way to get fla. residency applying to uf dental school for a fsu grad with NJ residency. anyone with any ideas?

I am currently a junior at FSU and I am in the process of applying to dental school . I have had different friende here who have got in to Tufts, Georgia, Chappel hill, UF, etc.
I am not worried about my undergrad university.
