Hello,

I just wanted to get some opinions on what I should do. I am applying to dental school in a year from now. Since i've been going to school, i've been working full time while taking around 11-14 credit hours, some semesters are considered part time, some full time, it's the only way i could work that around my schedule. My wife recently got a promotion which allowed me to stop working so that i can focus on school. I plan on taking 16-18 credit hours these last few semesters to get everything finished up. Will i be at a disadvantage because i only had a high course load for a few semesters or will ADCOMS understand that I was working full time? If so, what can i do now to sure up my application? My GPA is a 3.78 and sgpa is at 3.65. Thanks for your input!

Course load is irrelevant. Schools won't be mad at you for playing the system and doing well in a handful of courses at a time. Be careful these next few semesters and do not under any circumstances let your GPA fall due to work. Take an extra semester if you need to. I couldn't imagine working full time this past semester and I was only taking 14 credit hours. Good luck
