In the spirit of the MCAT dreams thread, I thought I would start a funny MCAT stories thread to further satisfy everyone's desire to wallow in the MCAT.
My funny story takes place last year. I went to go sit for the April MCAT despite feeling both sick and unprepared. The verbal section reinforced my doubts about my ability to perform and I decided to cancel my scores after the verbal reasoning section. I had to talk to the main administrator for the test site - a very intimidating professor. When I approached him and explained that I needed to void my scores he actually yelled at me! He looked me straight in the face and boomed, "Young lady, do you know what you are doing?! This is a very serious matter. I will have to make a note of this on your permanent record." Permanent record?! Even though I was pretty upset about my decision to void, his strong reaction made me want to crack up. I had to hold it in as he went on to explain that I had been "exposed" to MCAT material, all the medical colleges would have to be notified of this, and that if I tried this sort of behavior again I would no longer be allowed to apply to medical school!!! His dramatic monologue took about five minutes to complete. It may seem like a sad story to you, but if you had seen the look on this guy's face of total religious devotion to the MCAT you would have wanted to laugh too!
