Hey guys,
I am currently an upcoming senior looking to apply to dental school. I will be taking a year off so I will be you could say "non traditional" and apply to dental school the June cycle right after I graduate. I am expecting to graduate with around a:
Cum GPA: 3.4
Science GPA: 3.3
BCP GPA: 3.4
Non science: 3.7
Trend (last 60 credits): around 3.9
Shadowing: 200 hours+
Good LOR & personal statement
Am active in a few clubs. (Fraternity, pre-dental club, etc.)
These are rough estimates of where I expect to be. I had a 2.6 GPA freshman year due to a lack of study habits and taking on too much of a courseload. Since then I have had a 3.5+ every semester with my most previous being a 3.9 I am very interested in this field and have done a lot of research but still am curious to hear from you guys.
So my question is what DAT is needed for me to at least get interviews or even acceptances?I am an SC resident so south eastern schools are preferable to induce costs. I am aware of Tufts, NYU, etc... by the way! I just want some realistic advice in order to be a solid candidate. Thanks so much.
