Future research experience?

I just graduated and will be applying this cycle (within this week to get in early). I have accepted a paid research job in the prosthodontics department at my school for my year off. I am not starting until July though. Will it be okay to put July 2009 to July 2010 even though I haven't started and estimate the hours total since I know I will work around 20 hours a week?

I'm also going to have future research but I was told that completed/ on going research goes in that section only. But you could call...
