i need some advice. i want to submit my application on june 1st but the problem is that i have a decreasing trend in my g.p.a every year. i don't know if i want to show this to schools. i am taking to 2 summer classes (7 credits) and if i get A's in both of them (which i plan to) my decreasing g.p.a trend will no longer exist because my senior year g.p.a stats will be higher than my junior year g.p.a stats.

i just want to know if i should submit my application on june 1st (or anytime before my summer classes end) with the decreasing g.p.a trend or should i wait and submit my application after i receive my summer grades which will be in august and so my trend no longer will exist on my application. i want to submit on june 1st to be early but yet still think august is still kinda early and so sometimes i think i can submit it then.

how important is g.p.a trends.
any advice would be appreciated.

It depends. (You expected that answer, didn't you?)

What's your overall and BCPM GPA? Did you do well in your sciences, but poorly in other courses? Without knowing any specifics I'd say go ahead and submit if your overall scores are competitive. You can send them an update after summer school.

my science g.p.a is 3.43, overall 3.35 and non-science 3.39. my bcpm is basically like a 3.38.

also, i don't care what advice people give any is appreciated.

You have no choice. They will see how you did every semester on your transcripts.

Send in your application in June. If the admissions office won't admit you based on your "GPA trend" then your application will be complete anyway, so that as soon as they recieve your new transcript, then can immediately invite you for an interview. If you wait to send in your application, you will only be causing yourself an undue disadvantageous delay AND perhaps they would have accepted you anyway.

By the way, August is NOT "kinda early." I already had an interview set up by then. Get the app in in June.

I just read this.

Forget your upcoming grades. This GPA is adequate for almost any DO school.

You science and overall GPA are good enough to not worry about GPA trends. GPA trends really come into play if you bombed one semester or have a low science or cumm GPA.

August is still relatively early if AACOMAS has all of your transcripts. You just won't be in the first interview group but you should have a number of interviews in November/December if you have a good MCAT score and you applied broadly.

With your GPA it is not worth waiting. Apply in June i f you can.

thanx guys you really helped me! 🙂
