So I'm currently trying to decide which SMP program to apply for. I have a 3.3 cGPA and I am still waiting for my MCAT scores but I'm pretty sure I need to raise my GPA. I want to get accepted into an allopathic medical school and I wanted to know if GA-PCOM is a good choice for this since they are primarily a DO school. How do allopathic medical schools view a student from GA-PCOM? Would it be better to go somewhere like Georgetown?

I would not attend an osteopathic SMP if your have a 3.3 GPA and wish to attend an allopathic school.

If you have a solid MCAT score, I would suggest applying for UCinn/EVMS/Tufts/BU as a few options for the upcoming cycle. Have you calculated and thought of whether an informal post-bacc in upper division sciences would help raise your GPA without having to go through an SMP?

Yeah my science GPA really needs to be higher and I will be taking more understand science classes before...I just want to be sure that when I do apply, I will get in and from what I've read if I raise my undergrad a bit and do an SMP and get really high scores there then that will make me competitive (in addition to a good MCAT of course)
