Hey,
I'm not a re-applicant (yet), but I'm planning on taking a year off after I graduate this year. I've been thinking about what to do during my gap year and feel like there's probably a lot of opportunities out there that I don't know about. From my search, it seems this topic has been briefly addressed, but I know for myself, and I think for others, it would be nice to have a list of some things to do during that year off, particularly if you don't have the money to travel or go abroad and do something (though if you guys know of some international experience that's affordable, that would be awesome). Some things I've considered:
-Lab assistant
-EMT (doesn't always pay and has crappy hours to my knowledge)
-Americorps, Peace Corps, Teach for America (all have a minimum of appr. 2 yrs)
-English tutor in another country (I'd still really like to get some clinical exposure)
-sub teacher (i'm personally not interested, but i've heard this before)
Other ideas?
