Do large gaps (talking years) in volunteering for one org raise flags? i decided to pick up a long-lost hobby/ec a few weeks ago because its summer and my workload is low(er)...but it would probably look bad since the cycle is just starting.

Volunteering, probably not. People accept that life can interfere with volunteering, work, that would be different...

Exactly what are you planning, and for how many years? 😕

its a small group that feeds the homeless, i enjoy cooking and did it over one summer. it would be pretty sporadic what with the other thing(s) i do, but the group is lax about those things. it would be volunteering to replace the current clinical volunteering i'm doing now (if accepted that is, there's always a new batch of students to fill the position)... i will find it much more rewarding.
