GC Destroyer easier than Topscore?!?!

I just took my first Topscore exam and totally bombed it.

GC 16
OC 16
PAT 22
QR 17
RC 20

I'm willing to let all other scores slide, given that I'm still in the process of reviewing. BUT I know that I KNOW my general chemistry section well enough. I got around 80% correct on GC Destroyer without my notes. But I got a 16 on the GC section of Topscore Test 1. I'm confused. Could it be that I'm "used to" the questioning style of Destroyer GC that Topscore just seemed so much harder and confusing? My test is 6 days away, and I'm starting to wonder if I should reschedule. I haven't touched the Biology section yet, so how in the world did I did I get a point higher than on GC (the section I studied the most on?) Ahhhhh, this is stressful.

what other materials did you use to study? Did you use just Destroyer for all 3 sciences? Those scores really aren't that bad.. I wouldn't worry too much..

Doubt it.... Have you looked over your mistakes on topscore and figured out what where you went wrong? It could be silly little mistakes (calculation mistakes)

If you haven't touched biology yet... IMO you shouldn't be taking this test so soon. You need to cover biology, at least Cliff's AP 2 times.

For GC, I used Chad's videos, and then followed that up with Destroyer. I feel like I understand almost everything.
For OC, I used Chad's videos, along with some outside resources (websites and such) and Destroyer. I'm still in the process of studying for this section.
For Biology, I have the Cliff's AP Biology book but have not read it yet. I don't plan on going over Bio Destroyer.

I never did topscores like an actual test.... I just did it like it was practice questions / answers. On topscore's GC, I think I was missing like 5-7 questions from every test.... This was NO WHERE near the score I ended up in GC

There is 1 thing I've seen time and time again here on SDN: For many people, Topscore is NOT representative of the scores you'll actually get.... Alot of times, people have done significantly better on the real deal.... so DON'T feel discouraged, but in the same time, approach this test with caution.

Many people get the jitters & butterflies as their test date approaches, these are completely normal / healthy signs and SHOULD NOT persuade you into rescheduling.... However, sometimes, you really are unprepared and in which case, you SHOULD reschedule. The line between the two is very thin and only you can make the distinction.

If you have time you can try ordering the 2009 (I think) ADA practice test. I have heard that this one is pretty decent predictor although I have not taken it or the DAT.

Thanks! 🙂 But yea, I tried to send them a business check with the order form a month ago but they were slow in rejecting the business check and sent it back to me just a few days ago. If I reschedule my DAT, I will FOR SURE try to purchase it again 👍 My DAT is in about 5 days.
