GChem Difficulty: Topscore vs Destroyer vs Real DAT

So here is the deal... My DAT is in a little over a week and Im starting to freak out a bit. My last Topscore test I got a 19 on gen chem and only missed most due to silly mistakes. When I went back over the first two topscore tests (which I took early on) I felt like the questions were a joke. Two days ago I began working destroyer G chem questions and they seem to be WAY harder. I am really struggling. I find it a lot harder than any other destroyer section. Has anyone else had this experience??

Also, if you have taken your DAT and used either study tool would you please compare the sections. Could you please post the relative difficulty of topscore /destroyer vs the DAT G chem?? ??

DAT Destroyer is what you should expect to see on the actual DAT and if it is hard to get through, you should review the material and attempt it then. Topscore is easier than the actual DAT

Do you guys think maybe I should just do the GC questions from destroyer that arent really long calculations??

So destroyer GChem prepares you for the really hard questions. There are a few easy ones but more hard ones. I think the real test will have a share of easy and hard but this way youll be prepared for all of it. Its better to fall for the tricks in destroyer now then later when it test time. There are a couple question with long calculations. I just went through the GChem section again and I just set them up and looked in the back to see if the set up was right becasue thats what youre gana have to do on the ral thing most probably.

Ok cool, thanks orgodox! I guess im just gonna have to suck it up and get through as many of the destroyer GC questions I can stomach. Oh man, I cant believe the test is in a week more or less. yikes!

I just took the exam yesterday and got 25 on GC. I thought the difficulty was even easier than topscore and acheiver, and of course destroyer. Most of the problems were conceptual and few calculations(really basic stuffs). My highest score for GC on any practice tests was 20. I think you will be ok.. even though the actual exam is a lot easier than destroyer, going through them few times will definately benefit you. good luck on the test!!

WOW! awesome score! thanks so much for the post, this is EXACTLY what i was hoping to hear. destroyer GC makes me want to gag. I just want a 20 on this section.
