General AACOMAS app questions

Hi everyone,

I have some general app questions that I was hoping someone can shed light on.

1. I will be retaking the MCAT July 20th. I do have an old score from May 2015 but it isn't competitive <500. Will schools hold my app for the new exam or should I wait til August to submit my app with the new score? Do I need to report my old score since it's almost been 3 years? Can I submit my app with only the July 20th exam listed and not the May 2015 exam?

2. Can you add or remove letters of rec from the aacomas app after it has been sent for verification/verified?

Any help/feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

1. not sure if schools will hold your app, but you could always just send a primary to a throwaway school to get verified and then submit the rest when you get your new mcat. The score report AAMC sends with your MCAT has all of your scores, so you probably can't hide it
