Because of shortage of classes and not being able to get into the classes I needed, I will only be taking General Chem 1 w/lab and Calculus. I wanted to take Bio but the classes are packed and no way I can get in now.

Currently I work as an EMT for AMR, but in a few months I would like to work in one of the ER/Trauma Centers here in the area as a Triage ER Technician. My school and the adult school in town offer this respective program/class which is called Triage ER Tech. I was thinking of just taking chem and calc at the university and take this class program at the adult school because it will be much much cheaper.

Do you guys think it would be best to take all these 3 classes (Chem, Calc, Triage Tech) at my school or do chem/calc at the university and the other class at the adult school? I dont want ADCOMS to see that I just took those two classes (giving a sense of easy semester) so that's why i thought of taking the three at my school.

Will I still report this Triage Tech class on AMCAS for that specific semester? The adult school program is once a week, rather than twice a week as in my school, so I have more advantages.

A Triage Tech will actually do EKGs, Advance Phlebotomy, Administer IM Injections plus some other things that I can add to my EMT scope of practice and let me do several things at the ER/Trauma Center.

What do you guys think? Should I even bother taking this class? Its once a week and it will open job opportunities while I am still working on my pre-reqs...

Why are you planning to take calculus class? You don't need it for any of your prerequisites..right?

Some Med Schools require it...

So what do you guys think about the main questions asked?

I wouldn't worry much about the adcoms thinking you're taking it easy...sounds like you're working as an emt plus you have a valid reason for not taking 3 classes. This shouldn't even be a question, although I wouldn't do it every semester.

I'd say take the two science classes and then the adult class...or at least I say why not? Neither option is wrong or bad, so I would choose the one that I had the strongest desire to do.
