Hey everyone, I am just looking for general advice concerning dental school. I will be a junior this fall, and I currently have a 3.87 gpa (3.86 BCP). I am also the president of the pre-dental society at my university, volunteer with the red cross and helped found a club that gives tours of campus for science students. I have a few general questions...
1. I know most schools do not require shadowing hours, but is there a sweet spot for shadowing (im assuming 100 hours)?
2. Advice for DAT (kaplan, crackdat or other studying - which did you use?)
3. My dad is a dentist and most of my hours and involvements will be with him - do dental schools not like this "family connection?"
4. anything else?!

thanks for your help!!

1. 100 is a good nmber.
2. I used Kaplan, Achiever and TS. In general, the more resource you use the better. DD would help a ton too.
3. I think it should b fine.
4. Apply early, and apply to enough schools.

Good luck!
