Hey guys,

I need help in question 41 GC Destroyer
The explanation could not help me at all without comparing the right answer with an example with one of the incorrect answers

Please help 🙂

metal-nonmetal --- ionic bond and forms ions (electrons lost and and electron gained)
non-metal----non-metal --- Covalent bond and forms molecules (electrons shared b/w non-metal and non-metal)
metal-metal ----metalic bond (sharing of electron and it's also type of covalent bond)

look for compound which is non-metal bounded to non-metal and that's only SI4.
All others are ionic compounds.

sounds like you have different version.. the question you answered is 47 in 2012 version (I was about to ask about it so thank you)

this is the question I was asking:

(1)To make buffer you need equal nuber mol of weak acid and weak base
(2)1/2 equivalent of strong acid and 1 equivalent of weak base
(3)1/2 equivalent of strong base and 1 equivalent of weak acid

Multiply molarity to volume to get mol

(A) 10 mol Na2CO3 and 5 mol HBr WB/SA
(B)10 mol NaHCO3 and 5 mol HCl WB/SA
(c) 10 mol Na2CO3 and 5 mol HCl WB/SA
(D) 2.5 mol NH3 and 5 mol HCl WB/SA
(E) 5 mol NH4Cl and 2.5 mol KOH SA/WB

D can not be buffer.
