I am reading the first chapter of general chemistry in kaplan BB, but there are alot of theories regarding the atoms and some are related to quantum physics...
Are those equations and theories behind necessary???? can anyone pinpoint the most important facts from chapter one? I have the08-09 edition.
Thanks!

The most important facts in the Kaplan BB 08-09 edition is..... No one is going to go back and read you the most important thing in that book, unless they really have nothing better to do. In general, KBB has too much info that is not directly tested in DAT. I suggest that you get the practice DAT from ADEA or ADA (not sure which one) and it will outline the main topics that the test will cover. Studying with that in mind, is much more efficient my friend! (fighting!--Korean saying for good luck🙂)

yes... thank you for your worthless post. I too am struggling with what to know well from the section of the Kaplan book. I would just focus on the theories, not the equations. Just know the basic ideas as best you can, but I wouldn't worry about this section. I think it is just kaplan covering their ass to be able to say they mentioned something if it is indeed on the dat.

IMO, general chemistry in kaplan is the best part of that book.
read and learn, all of the theories and other stuffs. they will help you to grasp the concepts which will be questioned in DAT.
FYI, general chemistry in DAT is very conseptual and kaplan has done nice job for this section. GL 👍

No one really should tell you what or what not to study. That is a form of cheating.

Look at sample tests and you will know what to study.

Study from anywhere but ensure that you understand the concepts.Too much information can confuse you.My experience is that clear concepts and practice questions .Don't try to memorize only? When you do nearly 10-20 questions on one concept ,then you need not to memorize it.
