Hey everyone

So im taking the DAT June 11 so I got a little less than 3 months to go.

I guess I'm getting kind of nervous of how close the date feels. I've been studying since January and I still feel scared about it! Mainly about PAT and gen chem. I'm obviously studying during the school year, which is a challenge enough in itself, but I get out of school MAY 2, so I'll study from like May 4- june 10. I know this may sound excessive, but in planning to do 15 hours a day for those 40 days: I'm planning to go through all the tests for each subject as well as destroyer at least 2-3 times. I'm hoping to be fully done with ALL content by April, before my finals. So the majority of my time will be for practice tests and destroyer, and the rest for reviewing material im weak on. What do you guys tangible about this? Do you think I'll be fine on that date?

For gen chem, I went over everything once and I forgot a lot of material, so in reviewing everything again, but going slower this time. For PAT I'm definitely improving, but for sections like TFE and keyholes, I taking forever (even though I still suck at TFE)! How can I improve greatly on these two sections at least?

Another thing. I'm wondering what the absolute minimum score I could get to get accepted. My EC and LOR Are good and my gpa is 3.94. You think I could get by with 17/18?

Lot of info but some advice would really help! I'm just getting nervous because I see how busy my schedule is getting and how it looks for the last month, which may affect my study time.

Thanks in advance!

I think those 40 days or so shouldn't give you too many problems, are you taking any classes that cover any DAT material (orgo, gen chem, or bio?) If you are in those classes then you'll definitely be fine with the amount of time you have. If you have the stamina and determination to go for all that time, then by all means do it, but don't wear yourself out too much - sometimes taking half a day off was better than grinding through for me

Nope no specific classes for DAT. Would you recommend any specific study tips from now til my hardcore studying? Maybe for PAT?

Also what would you say I could score on the DAT based on my gpa (roughly) assuming everything else is good?

I think what you're doing with gen chem is a pretty good idea to apply to everything else. Cycling through all the material, though very tedious, will keep them fresh in your mind so that when you start doing practice problems, you've covered your bases and won't have to spend too much time reviewing. As for the PAT, I would just say focus on your strong suits and make sure you get as many of those right as you can. TFE and keyholes vary so much it's hard to come up with a good strategy to tackle them :/

I couldn't tell you what your score might be, but you've got a really good GPA. Shoot for a 20!

Thanks for all that! Yeah my goal is definitively 19-20. I've never been good with standardized teats and ive never had to know so much all at once,; definitely hoping for the best!

Relax! You'll be fine, stressing yourself out won't help. For my DAT, I only studied 45 days for about 8 hours per day. I came out with a 23 AA/ 24 PAT/ 24 TS. My advice for Gen Chem is to check out "Cracking the DAT" by Princeton Review that I have linked below. Honestly, this book plus Chad's videos will get you through the Gen Chem section. For the PAT section, I recommended practicing with DAT Bootcamp, these practice exams are much harder than the actual DAT. I was getting 19's on those practice exams.
Quick tip for TFE, try focusing on specific lines that indicate unique structures and finding them on each image. This tip will usually allow you to narrow down the possible choices.
