I mean really don't you people have better things to do ? What's your problem? It get's me very frustrated that there are people like you on here who have such a problem with a persons post and let me tell you if you have that attitude, YOU WILL NEVER BE A GOOD DOCTOR !!!! You have no human reasoning at all. What you're going to tell on of your patients who has cancer, oh question why do you always ask questions about how long you have ?

Based on your incessent need to post frivelous questions, it makes you seem insecure in making your own decisions. Neurotic and insecure are adjectives I see. This is the internet, so you get the benefit of the doubt for not being like that in real life.

I think ill be fine with patients if i eventually get there 😉

You know, can you just make a thread called "Columbia09's questions" and just post
them all under one link? That way its all in one place and those who want to
answer in an helpful manner can do so. Its a win-win. You get relevant answers from
people who care and those who don't aren't continully seeing your
new threads as spam.

I'm not sure you are in a position to say who will and will not be a good doctor. I personally would take the doctor who has no "human reasoning" over the doctor who needs confirmation and guidance from the internet regarding any choice they make. We understand you feel like you need help with the MCAT, personal statement, etc., but the only problem I see is your lack of confidence. This forum is here to help pre-meds and I'm sure everyone is happy to do so, but if you can't even help yourself what's the point?
 
I'll be frank, you do make a lot of posts and usually they stink intensely of mediocrity and neuroticism.
That being said if you chill a bit and stop worrying about the sky falling or search some of the topics you're interested in, instead of making a new thread it'll be all good.

You do have to realize there is a certain etiquette on Internet boards. Violating those norms do irritate people.

1. I do not have low confidence in myself (Other then the fact that I do overly worry a lot about the MCAT and yes I will admit it, I don't see any other rational behind that theory).

2. This form was just to see if anyone else took geochemistry (a required class for me) and if so did it help with their gen chem review.

3. For the cancer analogy now that I read it, it doesn't make much sense I will admit 🙁 But the main point was that if you have no understanding or compassion for your patients you will not be a good doctor. If something like this really ticks you off you will have a very difficult time with people in the real world. I shadowed a doctor all summer there are A LOT of patients who can be irrational and over react.

4. Being a lonely pre med I guess I have no say in who will be a good doctor but apparently it's okay for some people to say that my "lack of confidence" will affect that for me. So I'll leave it at that. For the final time if you have a problem with these threads ignore them.

Post as many threads as you like I just didn't understand the bolded phrase.
 
The best way to study for the MCAT is to study material that is tested on the MCAT. The classes that will help you the most on the MCAT are obviously your general science ones (bio, chem, physics).

Do you think geology is tested on the MCAT? Beyond simple isotope chemistry, it's not. If you keep asking frivolous questions, people will be less inclined to help you.

Obviously not (though I wish it was). The first half of the class is actually centered around p.H, gas equilibrium, thermodynamics, and solids just to name a few.
 
Columbia, don't let all the haters get to you. As I posted on one of your other threads, you're gonna be FINE when you take the MCAT. You just need to calm down a bit. 😎


With that said, I do agree with Serenade. There is an interwebz code of conduct and you need to make sure that you aren't violating that code. Creating a lot of threads can sometimes be frowned upon. I don't think that your threads have been useless... although, it seems that some frequent users disagree.

With that being said, some people also need to take a chill pill. We're all going to be doctors one day, and being jerks that make snide remarks is not going to help anyone. Sure, Columbia needs to calm down a bit about the MCAT, but some other people need to tone it down a bit too.

...Then again, it's the internet. People are gonna do what they want. *shrugs* 🙄
