I'm 90% sure I'm going right now. Haven't heard back from every school I applied to yet. But I'd be very happy with spending the next 3 years in DC 🙂

I'm starting to look at housing options, but I'm also waiting to find out if we are going to get a list of classmate's contact information. I think rooming with people from our class could be really beneficial.

(NOTE: I posted this in a couple other threads. Just trying to get as many GW peeps to see this as I can. Don't hate.)

I've been trying to find a Facebook group for GW's DPT class of 2016, but it appears to be non-existent.

I want to start finding some people who are definitely going this fall. That way we can start getting in contact with one another and begin to figure out housing/all that is DC before August rolls around.

If you know you're going or probably going, then you can either reply to this (or other threads I'm about to spam) or PM me or maybe make the Facebook group yourself? I tried the last option but it told me to invite people to the group...which I am currently unable to do.

Let's get to know each other!

It's nice to hear from a future classmate! It's been over a month since I've mailed my deposit and I've only gotten a couple of emails from GWU since (all of them generic grad students info and nothing specifically from the PT department). I emailed GW asking if they were sending out the student list, but so far no luck. So anyways, thanks so much for making this thread; I'm glad to hear others are in the same boat I am in!

Hey, Isak17! I feel ya. However, I did get an e-mail today from GW about being part of the "PT2016" ListServ (...not entirely sure what that entails though). I'm going to PM you and see if we can maybe start up an FB group so we can get to know our classmates.

Did you already set-up your GW e-mail account and do the background check?

Has anyone done the loan questionnaire yet? It says it's due may 1 and that we should wait to hear from our department to fill it out but no word about it yet. Any thoughts? I just set up my gw account and did my background check. Thanks!

Hey cgmeasha, I haven't received an e-mail about filling out the questionnaire either, so I clicked your link and started to fill it out. But before I finished I checked the new student page for GW's DPT dept. and it said:

"Health Sciences Students Services Office will provide step-by-step instructions and an example template on how to correctly complete the GW Loan Questionnaire at a later date. Please do not complete the form until you have received the instructions. An incorrect form can significantly delay the processing of your loan application."

So, I guess I could fill it out and just not submit it until I get the e-mailed instructions in case I mess something up. I completed my FAFSA in February, so they should have all my information I'd think.

I emailed them about getting a list of the people in our program a few weeks ago, and they said that we would most likely get a list within the next month or so. Hopefully sooner than later. I feel like I turned in my deposit forever ago, so I'm definitely getting anxious to get to know you all!

Just added you in! I have a feeling it might not be until May until we get a list of our classmates because it may not be finalized until most schools have sent out all their acceptances.
