Hey have you guys heard anything (good or bad) about georgetown's new CAM progaram. It is supposd to be some sort of alternative to their smp program. anyways i am trying to descide if i should apply, so any help you guys could give me would be great. Thanks!

Georgetown's CAM program is a part of their medical curriculum, not an alternative to the SMP program which is the master's program if i'm correct. CAM is the complementary and alternative medicine part of the curriculum teaching alternative healthcare such as acupuncture and the such. It's a pretty unique program and was actually a big draw for me applying to Georgetown. If you have any other questions, i'm more than willing to answer.

thanks for yout imput.

just to clarify, i believe there is a new CAM masters program that in under the Physiology and Biophysics department, in which you recieve a 1 yr masters in Physiology and also get taught about CAM topics. i think this might be the first year for it.

i didnt realize that the med curriculum had a cam component as well.

So all medical students at Georgetown have to learn complementary/alternative medical techniques including acupuncture?
