I was wondering if someone can help me which hotel to stay for the georgetown interview. I have 4 nearby hotels to consider, as supplied by the the school:

gtown Conference Center and Guest House,
holiday inn-georgetown,
holiday inn rosslyn key bridge,
gtown suites

the prices are about the same, so i just wanted to know which school is most convenient/ closest?

also, anyone know where to get good deals? other than orbitz or travelocity?

i think the gtown conference center is right on campus...not sure though. if it's the leavey center, then yes, it's right on campus just steps away from the med school. holiday inn gtown is about a 10-15 minute walk and you have to take the gtown shuttle from the holiday inn in rosslyn.

as for air deals, ata flies into reagan national with a stop at chicago midway (probably around low 200s). jetblue is also a good way to go...long beach to washington dulles is $99 one way. from dulles, you can hop on the metro to rosslyn. there is no metro stop in gtown though...

i was at gtown last year doing a masters. good luck on your interview.

thank you docquaker,

from what you have written, it seems gtown conference center is closest so it looks like best option.

but i forgot to mention that i'm going to have to take a taxi cab from the DCA airport to the hotel (since i'll be arriving past midnight and don't think the shuttles operate that late?). considering taxis are quite costly, is gtown center still the best option?

i think the cab ride from dca to gtown is 20 bucks or so...if you don't want to spend the money, i think rosslyn would be your best bet because you could just take the metro from dca. personally, i would just stay at the conference center...less hassle.

20 bucks? ok i'll can take that and stay at the gtown conference center. thank you again.
