I was wondering if anyone had any firsthand information about the Georgetown program. I was considering applying for an elective there, and would like to hear from anyone that rotated there in the past. Any big names associated with the program?
Thanks!

The Georgetown program is a solid program with an emphasis on basic science research. They give you a whole year of research time, and the chair is active in lab science.

They are a little bit lagging in technology, except for the Cyberknife machines that they have. The department is small with old machines. Also, there are only 4 residents total, so there will be only one spot when you apply.

It will be a good place to train if you are motivated and interested in science. All the resources are available and they will be supportive, but it won't be spoon-fed to you.
