I will begin applying to pharmacy schools next fall and I am basically looking between University of Georgia and South University. South University costs a bundle, but I also get out a year earlier. Also if I move to Savannah, my wife can transfer into the nursing program at Armstrong. So that means we would lose the money that she would make as a nurse if we stay at UGA. Is UGA's school of pharmacy that much better than South's in preparing me for a career in pharmacy? Would it be worth the extra time and money?

Obviously I don't know from experience whether or not UGA is a better school than South, but I can tell you that UGA costs a LOT less, and therefore is A LOT harder to get into as well. South is a little less strict on requirements, such as the PCAT and GPA. Since you are married and have somewhat started a life, I would suggest one school just as good as the other, so don't let that be your focus point. Decide which school to go to based on what will be the best for the both of you in terms of moving, where your family is located, her nursing school, etc. Don't worry about which school you get into. Both will prepare you well in my opinion. Good luck to you, I am also applying to UGA, South, and Mercer.
