Hi I'm planning to get a BS in Environmental Health and a BA in Biochemstry. Is this a bad choice? I heard from friends that medical school is looking for individuals with more creative and well rounded majors. Thanks.

If you're doing it to shine on your application, then don't double major at all...

The truth is, your going to be spending 4 years studying this. During this time, no adcom is going to give you a pad on the back. So if you hate your major, you are all by your lonesome for 4 years. No one cares if you are double major either.

that simply means that they dont like to take all science majors
they'd prefer a mix of humanities majors, science majors and some double majors

either way which ever you do
as long as you get a high gpa
your fine doing a single or double major in biochem

A unique major may be an interesting talking point during an interview and add some diversity to your application, but it's not going to make or break your chances.

(1) Do what you like. (2) Do it well.
