SO I had my interview at MI last week and cannot , for the life of me, stop thinking about it. About all the things I could've said and didnt, or the interviewer who gave me a completely blank look and the other one I felt so uncomfortable about when i left to go on to the next station. Anyone else feel like they kinda did ok in the interview but not really? Hoping to hear back Dec 1 but wont be surprised if you are not? But will be surprised if you are rejected. It's like i did my interview and for the most part it was good, but like i left something out. It's like getting an A but ending up with an A-, or worse B+, uknow? Im getting way too obsessed..

Wow you must be one of those super high achievers. Think about it like this! The interview is a final exam for a pass-fail class. You don't absolutely have to get a so-called A on this interview in order to pass (aka get into the school). In order to pass, you need to score in the upper half (because Michigan accepts roughly half of all their interviewees), so in reality you only need a "B" or something on this exam/interview. BUT, it looks like you've been a gunner for all your life so you probably have stellar stats (aka grades during the semester), so you can pass even with a below-average interview score.

Conclusion? Relax!!!

That's why you have 10 stations. Hopefully the other 9 went better. Michigan has a high acceptance rate after interview invites...so, let that be your comfort. It's too late to change anything now.

I appreciate your responses. Actually Lane138, I am SO NOT a high achiever. I have been a B student all my life (not that there is anything wrong with that) and with 2 children, a husband and a mortgage, not to mention being almost over the hill is what is getting me so obsessed.🙂 I just put too much on this interview and got some good feedback, definitely positive from some of the interviewers, and some really weird looks from some. (3 to be specific) I do like the fact that they accept about 60% of their incoming class from the 150-ish instate students they interview but still, there is that chance that those 3 ppl did not rate me high enough, like I said, that cut off point which made the difference. Anyways, cant do much about it except obsess, for a while anyway.🙂

Don't stress out about it! It's already done. I was the same way after my interview there. There were a couple stations that I felt like I kind of bombed. At one, the interviewer even was like "this should be the easiest station" but I managed to ramble on and on and I felt like a huge idiot. But think of all the other stations that you felt great at! Those should count for something! 🙂
