Hey everyone. My exam is two weeks away and I'm noticing that most of the questions I am getting wrong on my NBMEs are due to misinterpreting what the question is asking and/or making silly mistakes. I believe I have a strong knowledge base and the only thing keeping me from scoring 260+ is misinterpreting questions. I've taken NBMEs 11-16 at this point and my scores have ranged from 247-258.

Does anyone have any advice on how to acquaint oneself with the NBME question format? I often overthink questions because UWorld will often try to trick you whereas NBMEs tend to be more straightforward.

Thanks!

Just don't overthink, spend less time per question, go with the first answer choice that stands out...? Idk what you want to hear. 1000 NBME Qs should be enough to anticipate the question style.

agree with @pd1112 absolutely. Very imp stick with ur first choice. i can't emphasize it enough. and go over all ur NBME incorrect, they will help u straight-out any uworld enforced overthinking style.
