Hi everyone, I've become a veteran of this page since I'm an IMG and have been in perpetual Step I prep since May (already graduated, so have all the time in the world). Anyways, I feel I'm getting close to taking the thing. NBMEs are decent, last night's came out to a 500/223.

Thing is, I really really want to break 230. I decided the latest I'll go with this is first week of December so that gives me 4 weeks max to improve to a comfortable NBME score (230-235). Anyone have any advice on how I should use these last weeks? My weakest subjects are behavioral science/biostat and pharm. I last did molecular bio and immunology about 8 weeks ago so those might be weak too.

I know I should probably focus on my weaknesses, but my reason for asking for tips is I don't want to forget the stuff I know well. Thanks in advance.

Hey I haven't taken the exam yet (10 days left, ahh!) but I think you should really put some effort and time into pharm. It is such a high yield subject and its one that takes a lot of repetition to master. I saw a jump in my scores after mastering behavioral science and biostats because they don't take much time to learn and are surprisingly a lot of easy points.

I used FA and some HY Beh. Science for BS and Kaplan/FA for Biostats, although I think FA seems to be enough.

The High Yield Mol. Bio is great and that combined with FA and UWorld seems to cover almost everything except for those WTF? molecular bio questions they always seem to throw at you.

Now that you know you're weaknesses, just spend some concerted effort into addressing those first and then continue to pound it all in til test day. You still have plenty of time to bring that score way above 230. I saw a huge jump in my scores (20+pts) in only a few weeks, so you can definitely do it.

Thanks alot for the advice, dude. I'll definitely put it into effect ASAP. Good luck on the test!
