Hey everyone, my cousin is applying to DMU and some other D.O. schools (don't know which ones), but since he is overseas right now he doesn't have access to a PC and he wanted to know what his chances where with the following profile.

GPA: 3.2
MCAT: 24
Involved in so much stuff (research, EMT, hospital volunteer, ROTC)

Any help for him would be appreciated! Thanks guys and gals!

Honestly, the stats are a little bit below DMU's supposed averages but all the extracurriculars and a well -written application can help to flesh out a favorable profile. It really varies by individual application. I know DMU has a rather short, essay-less secondary application so that might leave less room to impress adcom. With that said he should not be discouraged to apply since people who have been accepted run the gamut stat-wise, esp since the rest of his resume seems impressive. The time at which he applies is crucial in this situation, the earlier the better, obviously, so I hope he/she has already applied. Hope this helped somehow, best of luck!

Apply to as many DO schools as possible. There are some that he can be admitted to, but perhaps not DMU.
