what scores do I need to break into Columbia, thats my dream school... those who are currently in, please share with us your stats

I think a 28 AA on the DAT, 4.0 GPA, 200+ hours assisting, and primary author of research papers would get you in.

However, the average stats for 2002 students who got in were 21 AA/20 PAT and 3.3 GPA.

a buddy of mine got in with a 3.39 and some decent dat scores (21 bio 19 chem 17 reading comp 17 soap carving and 18 pat). what really impressed them tho was that he was an athlete and had good research experience.

does that answer your question?
need good GPA
must have good DAT, and handskills
research experience is good
athletic
canadian citizenship

Yes..being Canadian does help for some reason. They seem to love us over there. (im from montreal btw). I remember him telling me about his " interview ". All the guy did was chat with him about golf and weight lifting and saying how great it was to get some qualified canadian applicants..and then spent the rest of the time trying to convince him to come to Columbia..

nah, i think that's true depending on who interviews you... i had a few of those type of interviews where they were "glad i am from Ca and interested in their school..."

i think they're just trying to see your reaction and see how you act towards what they say and some interviews actually just want to talk about random stuff...again probably to see if you're able to hold a converstation...
