So, I've been out of college for 5 years now. I have secured one LOR, am working on another, and am fairly confident about the third, however has anyone ever had problems getting these after so much time has passed? If even one of these falls through, I'll be short and don't have alot of options. Many of my old profs are either retired, have moved on, or are actually dead. Schools like NYCOM require 3, b/c my school doesn't have a pre-professional committee. Any advice? I have several professional references from research.

Thanks!

I feel for the situation; I applied 3 years after graduation. Have you called the admissions office for the schools to which you're applying to explain your situation? I did, and the two (yes, TWO) schools said that would be ok. I was simply directed to offer alternatives to the missing science letters. I got them from former supervisors, and a close friend who was a resident at the time. By the way, the schools were WesternU and Touro-CA. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot me a PM.
