So I have my test in 2 weeks and I decided to brush over stuff for QR. I guess I kinda underestimated QR b/c at the moment, I am getting my arse handed to me by math destroyer.... I'm getting so many wrong that it's not even funny.... Anyone else in a similar situation? Is it just me or is math destroyer kinda hard.... (P.S I've always hated and sucked at math)

I've looked over KBB, memorized conversions and stuff and memorized the general formulas in destroyer math and MATH DESTROYER.
I wonder what else I can do to improve my QR skills... Anyone have any advice? (other than going over the 10 math destroyer tests a few times to practice)

A big question on my mind is that how many QR problems can you usually get wrong on the real DAT and still get a score of 17???

Thanks in advance guys.:scared: (sorry for the rather long post)

do NOT underestimate QR. thats all i have to tell you. take it as seriously as bio. its probably one of the most challenging sections in the test... lack of time, making stupid mistakes due to being in rush and the fact that your brain has given up by the time you begin this section is plenty to begin with.

Wow. You actually bought the Math Destroyer? I saw it and looked at the price tag. It seems to be like the O chem Odyssey. Too much info and not worth the price. I used Barron's SAT and that sucker was hard enough as it is. Covers a lot of material with problems.

So you dont think the Math Destroyer is worth it then I take it?

Yes. Do not underestimate QR. You do not wanna get a sub-17 on this section. Granted some schools have cut offs, others dont (QR is also the least important to a majority of schools according to that excel spreadsheet that was posted).. . why would you wanna limit yourself. I would start grinding out problems in math destroyer asap. Make sure you time yourself and go over the problems that you have no idea how to setup. The ones you are familiar with just review before you sleep each night. Math should only take 1-2 hours a day tops and since you said you have 2 weeks that should be plenty. Gluck.

Thanks guys! So far, I've done 6 of the 10 tests and I'm really liking math destroyer. It is very good practice imho.

I'll keep at it, thanks for the feedback!

According to the ADA sample test I would guess the minimum to get a 17 would be around a 22-23. When I went in to take the test, I just told myself, if you can find at least 15-20 that you know for sure, do those, make educated guesses on as many as you can on the ones you aren't sure of, and you should end up with at least a 17.

Don't stress too much, just keep studying and have a plan.

Thanks denner. I figured that I'd have to come in with that sort of mindset. Wish me luck, I'm redoubling my QR prep!
