not at all...

There's a school in Philadelphia where it's okay for students to get beaten by professors. I can't say which one though...

There's also a law in the USA that doesn't make it ok for schools in Philadelphia to make it ok for students to get beaten by professors. Did you know that? 😀

I can't imagining me applying to and paying for a dental school that promotes physical abuse. This smells fishy.

Every school in the United States should have zero tolerance for professors assaulting students: It doesn't matter if a professor has tenure as well.

I'm pretty sure that's in the definition of an assault. If it was consensual, it wouldn't be assault.

This is dumb. I heard a professor grabbed a girl's arm. he got suspended for 5 months w/o pay and he is now back. to say that she was "beaten" is misleading. If it was that serious she would have pressed charges and he would be in jail. I'm not belittling the event that happened....but lets be real.

what are you trying to prove here?

Not the story I've heard.

Don't you think if a student was BEATEN, the professor would be in jail? There would have been a huge story in the news about it?

Ive talked to students at that school. don't post things like this unless you have your facts 100% positive. that is a serious allegation.

Chubby Baby, I believe you are also violating the TOS of this forum by posting this:

Trolling / Repeat Trolls
The term troll is a slang term used to describe a number of things, traditionally it refers to a person who posts items intended to incite controversy or conflict. An individual posting honestly-held but controversial opinions is welcome at SDN. However, trolls are not. A troll's primary incentive is the incitement of conflict. Trolls often resort to verbal abuse, making inflammatory remarks maligning the motivation of other guests. Those guests that behave in this manner will be banned immediately and without notice. Banned trolls that return to the SDN Forums will be immediately banned again upon identification of their new account. Those who repeatedly return to troll will have their IP address blocked.

What's up with the deleted thread though? Perhaps an explanation on why would be beneficial for the good of all?

You mean to tell me there is a school in the USA, where a professor BEATS on the students (AKA puts his/her hand on them).

Unless you show me an official article or a youtube video of this "flogging", I won't believe a word of this.

As matter of fact, this thread is total non-sense.... Your claiming there is this event happening, yet there is no proof of its existence other than what "he/she said".
