Got a nice little post card from WVSOM today...Everything is in and yet, they are still putting me on hold for now. That's what you get with a sub-23 MCAT score. At this point, I'm just praying that someone will give me a chance. In all reality, I wish schools like WVSOM would just send me the rejection letter to avoid false hope. Sure they may look at it again and maybe give me an interview, but really, the chances of that are slim. For those with MCAT >24, you have no idea how agonizing it is to apply real early to give yourself a chance only to have it not help you at all. BTW, I already sent in six secondaries.

It is still really early. Don't lose faith this early. Keep your chin up. They only send secondaries to those they are going to interview, so being on hold isn't a bad thing yet. Remember there are still applicants from this year trying to get in and for them losing faith is a reality.

Email them everything 4 weeks and ask about your status. Send them via email anything extra you do, any extra classes you take, new MCAT score, etc......Shows you are interested.

Good luck. 👍

You've still got 5 other secondaries out....don't be so hard on your self. :luck:

exactly and to add to Amy B- if anything you're ahead of the game by applying early. While you're disappointed with the hold, it's not a definite no which could turn into something else later on.

Best of luck and keep us updated on what happens.

Pjc, I wouldn't worry about it too much. In the process you just never know. If you do have a below 24 MCAT, you should really think about applying to about 10 more schools. That will definitely increase your chances.
