Do schools send a rejection letter or do many of them simply don't contact you? If I'm not contacted and I've seen that others have gotten interviews at those schools already, then have I been placed aside to be evaluated later? I want to contact them but I don't want to bug them if they're "in the process of reviewing".

Thanks?!?

I don't know if this is relevant advice for your case, but here it is anyway....Don't hesitate to call the schools and make sure they have your materials so that they CAN evaluate you and invite you for an interview. Silly me, I waited a month and a half, running to the mailbox everyday, only to end up calling the schools to find out that they didn't have anything except for my letters of recommendation. It turned out that stuff got held up at AACOMAS because my registrar "forgot" to send in my transcripts.

If you've already checked and are sure that they have all of your material, it really is just a waiting game. Remember, it's still relatively early in the application season (my issues weren't cleared up until January!!), but if you want to call the school to inquire about the status of your application, it probably wouldn't be harmful, and it would show that you're still interested in the school. Good luck!

Doode, I totally thought you would get a response from all all schools, either stating you have an interview or are rejected. Has anyone out there not ever recieved anything from a DO school, and if so, which ones? That would seem strange that they don't even tell you you're rejected, as many people hold out on schools they're accepted to waiting from responses from others...thanks!
