So my DAT is next thursday, I am getting slaughtered in QR. I can figure out the easy to medium problems and the basic trig ones, but the crazy word problems in math destroyer I am getting killed on. O yea im getting destroyed on the probablity stat problems also. I have been putting in 1 hour each day just for Qr while devoting the rest of my study time to the sciences, PAT, reading comp etc. Now my question is should I continue to study QR for the mere hour? Or pump it up and sacrifice some of my other study time? relearning stat and the harder trig and geometry problems will eat up alot of my time which I fear.

Bump the QR up, read the answers in the back of the Destroyer, understand them.

i say try to figure your mistakes out and see if you can correct them and learn from them. Based on the last DAT estimate chart, it seems that QR can easily bumped up 1 or 2 points by getting a few more problems right, meaning you can probably guarantee a better QR score than something like Bio. Worst comes to worst, just memorize how to do the problems and hope similar stuff comes on the DAT

thanks for the advice guys

There is often more detail given in word problems than you actually need....try to isolate what you need and work with that....zone out the traps and you'll do better

Would anyone recommend math destroyer? I got a 14 on my first DAT qr section...Trying to get a better score the next time around in June.
