Hey guys,

Im currently enrolled in Physics 2 and its killllllllllling me. My textbook (College Physics - Volume 2) written by Giambattista is the worst textbook I have ever used and my professor is equally as terrible. We're on the subject of magnetic fields and no matter how much time I put into this class I just cant seem to get a handle on it - or just about anything else we've covered. Given the poor text and horrible professor I have nowhere to turn but to you guys. Can anyone recommend any good online resources relating to this subject that would be helpful? Or perhaps any online practice questions etc. that your university provides to you - and that I can access.

I neeeeeeed to do well in this class and Im really trying for that A so any help that anyone can offer would be tremendously appreciated!!!

Thanks!!!!

I had that same textbook...I never opened it. The teacher never even used it. Id maybe suggest finding another text book to do the reading if its not fitting you. Its really not as hard as it seems...although not easy. But like the other physics thread you have to do a lot of problems, preferably answered problems so you can try them and then see what you got wrong. Once you do a few of one type of problem you will start to see how things go. Hang in there, I wasnt exactly the best student and I pulled a B out of Phys II.

I thought that my year of physics was nothing more than 10 credits to boost my science gpa. Sorry you are strugglin bro.

Yup the problems are key, but the practice problem in this book are crap and dont help you understand the material. Even the solutions manual sucks! Ive found some good stuff through the internet that might be helpful - gotta love animations!

Yea, im taking it online but with sitdown exams... bascially we learn it ourselves with NO lectures and take the same exam the other people do. Not too difficult, just memmorize equations and do a bajillion problems. As soon as its over you wont even need to know it again.

Hey can you find someone to help you with problems? Sometimes it helps if someone else explains it to you and shows you how to work the problems. Good luck :luck:
