Question about Gram Equivalent Weights.
I get it, I think.
It's similar to normality for one.
But what is the purpose of these equations?
Equivalents = weight of compound / gram equivalent weight
gram equivalent weight = molar mass / n
What do you use them for? Would someone mind putting hypothetical numbers in there so I can see how it pertains to a real problem. Ihaven't come across any of those problems, and Kaplan's book just states very briefly those equations.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
