[I couldn't think of where else to post this; so, since I am still pre-med, and a nontraditional one at that, I'm posting here]

As some of you already know, I am the director of a nonprofit health clinic. Our nurse manager/charge has accepted a different position in another city, and will be leaving us in a couple weeks. What gift(s) would be appropriate and amazing to show our appreciation for her?

A gift card to her favorite store. Give employees the option of contributing and signing a card. Then have a going away party where you give her the card, thank her for her work, tell her she'll be missed, etc. and then have some cake. If nurses are needed on the floor then have a real quick gathering and leave a 2nd cake behind for those on break later.

Thank you for this! I have been away from SDN since posing the question. We went with the gift card, going away card. It was a hit. Thanks again!
