for students who are going to Glasgow from North America:

-when did you have to "say yes" to your offer of admission?
I'm applying to Glasgow and also to the vet college in my province- but the interview/applications process is during the summer, and I'm hoping I don't get screwed over!

-how old are you? 🙂 (average age of international students)
I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong) the local Glasgow pre-vets are all fresh out of high school...so in the range of 18-19? I'm 22 (I'll be 23 by that time) and I'm wondering if I'll be a grandma if I make it to Glasgow...? 😛

Hey! I interviewed in February, was accepted a couple weeks later, and I think the deposit was due by may 1. (not 100% on that)

As for the age thing: I'm 28, will be 29 in Nov....so I guess that makes ME the Grandma! 😛

2 more months....so friggin' excited!! 😀

Worst case, you get in to glasgow, pay the deposit and then get into your provincial school. You only end up loosing your deposit if you decide not to go. Sure being out the $500 or $1000 will suck, but the $25k+ a year you save in tuition will cover most of it.

The deposit is actually about 2,000 U.S dollars--so it would definitely suck to fork that over and lose it. However, Glasgow does have the extra year in tuition, as david said.

"Your provincial school"...?
I don't understand this. Can someone please explain???

😕
