Hey everyone,
I have applied to glasgow in scottland. Can anyone give me some info about it? Lookingforluck, I see that you go there. I am from Washington state, and go to school in North Carolina, so im used to being away from home, but how is it different being in another country? I hear that the cost of living is high there, is that true? How is the curriculum? And before I get to far ahead of myself, I have a 3.1 and a 950 GRE. Do you think that will get me in? well, thanks a lot to everyone who can help.

If you go to the About.com pre-vet forum, there is a Glasgow student who regularly posts there.

A 3.1 and 950 GRE, though, will unfortunately not be very competitive anywhere. But depending on your interests and circumstances, stranger things have happened.

I travelled in Scotland about 15yrs. ago and if memory serves me, it was an extremely modern city - comparable to London, England. The schools are good there - transportation was good then, too. Cost of living is expensive, but not any more so than other large cities. Of course, this was 15yrs. ago, so I'm sure things have changed. But hopefully this will give you an idea of how things are over there!!

Cost of living in Glasgow (or anywhere in the UK) is high due to the unfavorable exchange rate vs. the dollar.

From what I have read (from someone who is currently a student at Glasgow), a 3.3 GPA is required for admission.
