Glendale Arizona School of Dentistry?

Does anyone know anything about a new dental school that is being started in Glendale Az.? I have a brother-in-law that lives there, and it would be a great place to spend 4 yrs of my life.

You mean a hot place to spend four years. Who knows what months the curriculum will run through, but I'd be very sadmad if I had to go to school when it's 110+ outside.

It is indeed sunny all the time. And that is one thing that I could potentially be homesick for. I hear people from sunny places go through seasonal depression in the winter months in other locales. I don't want this to happen to me. 🙁

Yes I do feel kind of down during fall/winter, which is why Arizona still sounds like an attractive place to go to school.

The winters do not get cold (well, for natives like me they do ). Anyway, it is still in the mid-80s here. I love flying back east and actually seeing autumn (would have said fall, but it sounded weird in that spot).

there is also another dental school opening in Western university 2010 i believe. dental schools are popping up all over the place now.

The grass is not greener on the other side of the fence. I am getting sick of sub-zero temps, shoveling snow, and ice skiing with a motor vehicle...enjoy the blistering heat while you still have it.

Midwestern University (Glendale, AZ) College of Dental Medicine Dean Named

Richard Simonsen, D.D.S., joined Midwestern University in April as the Dean of the College of Dental Medicine, scheduled to open Fall 2008. Prior to his appointment at MWU, Dr. Simonsen served as the Associate Dean for Preclinical Affairs & Research and Professor in Restorative Dentistry at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa. He is widely published and has an extensive research background in the clinical practice of today’s preventative and general dentistry.

In conjunction with the new College of Dental Medicine, which will initially serve 100 students per class, MWU will also build a $50 million dental clinic to serve the Valley and provide off-site teaching opportunities.
