I'm applying for 2005 entering and was wondering how important it is to load up on extracurrics/activities/med experience while applying? I'm taking a full course load of science classes plus research right now, and combined with interviews I'll be adequately busy. However, I wasn't planning on doing any med. experience/volunteering while I apply. Is this going to be a problem? Do adcoms expect you to continue doing that stuff, or do they understand that the application process is hectic enough without adding superfluous activities? I've got several interviews lined up this term, and with missing so much class it'll be all I can do to maintain a >3.5 GPA anyway.

Any input/advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

Relax. Keep on doing what you're doing.

Not everyone can have a 4.0 in physics from Cornell while handing out condoms in Africa.

You'll do fine.
