glitch in match?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I know what you are talking about. Pressing on the bottom of the screen and clicking on the unfilled list. Being kicked out if you match and visa versa. It was a trick that worked last year, but not this year. Appearently the bugs were "fixed" to prevent that from happening. check this link out

I tried it and I was still logged in. We will find out in 3 1/2 hrs if they where right on fixing the issue. I wish you the best of luck

the 'trick' that you are talking about from last year...it's not true. I would get logged out of the system after clicking the 'unfilled programs' link, but I did not match last year. This year is a different story....!!!

Someone told me that there was a glitch in an early match system this year. Anyone hear the same?

Are you talking about a problem w/ the SF or AUA matches? I hadn't heard of one but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. In any event, it would have no bearing on the NRMP match as they have nothing to do w/ each other (completely separate systems run by different people).

as far as I know the AUA match went quite well this year, as opposed to 3 years ago when there definitely was a glitch

This comes up every year...and every year its been disproved. I think its an urban legend.

i really don't get why people bother with these tricks...i never succumbed to it, even with the usmle trick where you supposedly can't re-register for the exam if you passed. i mean honestly, would you believe the results you got? If it told me I passed/matched--I wouldn't believe it till nrmp tells me so...I'd hate to set myself up for a disappointment. If it told me I failed--I'd be perplexed as hell but I'd still hang on to the hope that it's just a dumb trick anyway...Seriously, it's easier to just wait it out🙂
