For those who use gmail as their email address for dental schools, how do you check your junk mail? It's been almost 5 weeks since my application was complete at almost all of my schools and I haven't heard anything from anyone yet. I just want to make sure that nothing has gotten or gets sent to my junk mail, but I don't know how to check my junk mail on gmail. Thanks in advance!

I've checked my gmail junk and I haven't gotten anything through there.

none of the emails i've gotten from schools have been tagged as spam, so far.

Gmail is better than yahoo in the spam filtering area. All of the emails I receive from dental schools come straight to my inbox. People from Nigeria that want my bank account go to spam. Simple.

I agree, I have not had any problems with any of the emails from dental schools going into my spam folder in gmail. Gmail is awesome!

I agree so far there has been no e-mail from dental schools in my spam box. However, I check my spam e-mail to make sure that there has been no e-mail there. I think Gmail is doing better than Yahoo in terms of spam e-mails. Yahoo is very stricted about the spam e-mails and sometimes e-mails from school end up at yahoo junk mail.

I saw the thread title and thought I'd stop by. 😀

Gmail has the best spam filter I've ever used. That being said, I did nearly miss an interview this season due to it going to Spam in Gmail. Check it every few days. That way you'll be unlikely to have a missed deadline, and it'll keep you from having to read the sometimes disgusting titles of a thousand emails. 👍
