Go to Bupers.navy.mil -> Detailers -> PERS 44
->PERS 4415 -> Medical Corps -> GMO Billets 2002

There are no stateside clinic billets for GMOs 2002. You will be going to a Ship, Seabees, Marines, or overseas clinic (Italy, Iceland, Guam).

Do you know any GMO's on a LSD or LPD? Just curious what a tour there is like.

GMOs serve as Dept Head so they have a major responsibility to the inner workings of the medical department (eg. managing OPTAR, getting and maintaining meds, 3M, etc). There is a balance of patient care and admin must exist. There is usu an Independent Duty Corpsman, Lab tech, Rad tech, ? number of quadzeros.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, former 0000 and FMF HM. Now 3rd year HPSP. Just playing out the future possibilities in my head. Will probably go for Int Med or Radio so when I move to Portsmouth/Chesapeake/wherever and buy a home there in GME1 a shipboard GMO there is probably a sure bet for after that so I dont have to move around too much.
